*Former NBA player Trevor Ariza is going through a messy divorce from his wife Bree Anderson and has rebuffed her demands for monthly child support for their two kids, citing a severe lack of income.

Bree said the payment should be enough to maintain the lifestyle she had while they were married, which included private chefs, a household staff, Rolls Royce vehicles, real estate and business holdings, and a 5-bedroom, 7-bathroom residence in Playa Vista.

According to, the former Los Angeles Lakers star, who made over $116 million during his 10 years in the NBA before retiring in 2002, says he currently has no average monthly income and can no longer afford that luxury lifestyle.

“I am in the process of reducing my monthly expenses as I am now unemployed and cannot maintain my former lifestyle,” Trevor reportedly wrote in his declaration.

RadarOnline reported that Bree anticipated Trevor would claim he was struggling financially and request that his support be reduced, but she says Trevor has millions in the bank and can meet his family obligations by selling off property.

Trevor listed various investments in his filing, but claims to have only made $61,000 so far this year. He listed earnings of about $4,000 per month from rental income, and received a $418,000 lump sum from the NBA. Further, he said he pays $13,000 in child support for other children. He listed his monthly expenses as $13,000 for his mortgage, $1,400 in maintenance, $8,900 for child care, $1,500 on groceries, $3,000 on eating out, $800 on laundry, $3,500 on clothes, $3,200 on his child’s education, $14,000 on various cars and $19,000 on “other.”

“Other” includes $4,000 to his personal assistant, $5,700 for basketball training for his kids, $400 on massages, $500 on boxing classes, $900 on manicures/pedicures and $2,500 to his girlfriend.

Bree was recently granted a temporary restraining order against Trevor after accusing him of showing up at her house unannounced. She has also accused him of abusing her multiple times during their relationship. The TRO prohibits Trevor from coming within 100 yards of his ex.

Trevor denied the accusations and accused Bree of being the violent one during their marriage. Both are due back in court later this month.
