*Hey y’all, here we come with Saturday’s Social Heat. Well, look-a-here will ya. Miss Yung Miami apparently spoke a situation into being. Let us be among the first to inform you that the rapper-turned-talk show host will be sitting down with the legendary Oprah Winfrey for a one-on-one interview this coming week. Of course, we all know she hosts her own show on Revolt TV called “Caresha Please” that’s very popular. Miss Miami also started calling herself the “Black Oprah” which is weird ‘cause Oprah herself is obviously Black, too. Anyway, that’s another convo for a different time. Apparently, Oprah likes what she sees in Yung Miami and we’ll all soon see how it turns out.
It’s been out there for a while, but now it’s official. Teyana Taylor confirms that she will portray Dionne Warwick in an upcoming biopic. “We’re already working on it. We’re in the building process right now. I always wanted to make sure I could lock in with any person that I would be playing,” Taylor told Tamron Hall. It was back, in December 2020 that Warwick herself tweeted: “This is a case for @netflix. Please don’t ask who I would cast to play me, as it would obviously be @TEYANATAYLOR.”
Here’s some now commonplace-ish for ya. In the Atlanta area, a Burger King employee was arrested after shooting a customer during a fight over Whopper sauce. Yep, Whopper sauce. When said customer who originally ordered his food via the drive-thru, entered the store to rectify the issue, an argument broke out as he began threatening the employees. Witnesses say he began to say he had a gun, but it didn’t matter to BK employee Tyarius Wilcox began to fight the customer until the fight was put to an end by a gunshot. The 16-year-old employee grabbed the customer’s own gun and shot him. The unidentified customer is now hospitalized but expected to survive. Meanwhile, Wilcox was arrested for fighting and obstructing officers. All that over some sauce. Sheesh!
