*The starters have been announced for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game and Trae Young received the least amount of player votes.
As EUR reported previously, Traedoesn’t seem to be liked by his peers. Per Rolling Out, in the Western Conference, “Steph Curry, Luka Dončić, LeBron James, Zion Williamson and Nikola Jokić earned the honors. In the Eastern Conference, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell and Kyrie Irving received the nods,” the outlet writes.
One Twitter user commented, “Haters, they know how good Trae is and don’t like him. If he played anywhere else he would be 1, people hate Atlanta sports.”

Another NBA fan commented, “They’re all jealous they can’t put up the numbers he’s putting up. That’s why the All-Star game is a joke it’s all about money and media… has nothing to do with rewarding the best players that year. There aren’t 3 guards doing anything near what Trae is doing in the East.”
A third Twitter user noted, “Because he is not a great shooter. He hunts for fouls to get the free throw line. That’s how he gets his points and floaters. Then not to mention he is horrific defensively and his attitude.”
Someone else stated, “He’s smaller than most of the other players and he has a lot of confidence. Of course NBA players don’t like that. When Lebron pounds his chest and glares he gets respect.”
As EUR reported previously, “When Trae Young dropped 32 points in his pro playoff debut and followed it up by telling the fans at Madison Square Garden to [shut the front door], he firmly cemented himself as the NBA’s new villain. And in doing so, he put a big red target on his back.”
